  • Why MANS works for eradication of superstitions from Hindu Religion and is against their festivals only and why are they afraid of eradicating superstitions from other Religions?
This baseless question is repeatedly asked on various platforms despite repeated satisfactory explanations given by MANS from time to time. Here is our explanation: * This allegation is absolutely FALSE and forms part of a systematic agenda of spreading falsehood against MANS by the vested interests. MANS opposes superstitions of all the religions which are explotitative and harmful in nature. The cases of Muslim and Christian superstitions handled by MANS are available in various publications of MANS. * There are 80% Hindus in India. Hence, most of the cases and matters of superstitions and harmful traditions are coming from Hindus. * There are thousands of Gods in five thousand year old Hinduism. Hence, number of superstitions are more in Hindusim. Whereas, Christians, Muslims etc have only one God/Allah. Hence, there are lesser superstitions. Nevertheless, those superstitions are also opposed by MANS. * Hindus have seen Many Social Reformers who critically analysed the religion and superstitions. * Most of the Activists of the MANS belong to Hinduism. So, they have every right to speak against the superstitions in his own religion. It is not the monopoly of self-claimed Hindu Dharma Rakshaks. The above questions implies that the person asking such question confirms that there ARE superstitions in Hiduism. If so, then is it not necessary to eradicate such exploitative and harmful superstitions? The Anti-Black Magic Act passed by Govt. of Maharashtra applies to all the Religions. It never states that the said Act applies to Hindus Only. Thus, the people who asked such questions are really look confused. * It is pertinent to note that prior to the enactment of Anti-Black Magic Act MANS has brought many charlatans, fake Babas to the book. Even after enactment of the said Law, MANS, with the help of Police, booked many fake Babas. And about 30-35% fake Babas are Muslims. Just remember the Martin Baba of Vasai, Dist Thane, who was Christian who claimed that he cured serious illnesses simply by Mantras. MANS took swift action against him. He was arrested and ironically he requested for Bail on health Ground. * Ironically, the victims of Muslim, Christian Babas, women raped by these babas are Hindus. Even the victims of Hindu Babas are invariably Hindus. So, when MANS is helping Hinu victims to get justice, why this is objected by the people, who ask such questions? * When some Hindu people ask us to dradicate the superstitions of other religions first, it implies that for reforms in their own 5000 years old Religion they are willing to follow path of 2000 year old Christianity and 1400 year old Islam instead of showing the path of reforms to the World. In the process, they are bringing their own Vishwaguru Dharma to the follower of comparatively new Religions. * Many Campaigns of MANS which the Hindutvavadis opposed earlier are now being effectively endorsed and taken over by the Government of Maharashtra headed by Hindutvavadi Parties. For example, Environment friendly Ganesh Utsav, Environment Friendly Diwali, Holi etc. PM Mr. Narendra Modi and CM, DCMs of Maharashtra also vouch for these campaigns. * We do not oppose any festival or traditions. We only oppose the superstitional and harmful part of it and suggest alternatives. Animal Sacrifice on Baqri Idd is opposed by us and we organise Blood Donation Camps (Sacrifice blood for benefit of patients, instead of sacrificing an animal) for muslims. We organise cracker free and liquor free Christmas-New year campaign. Thus, it is very clear that MANS opposes all the harmful, exploitative superstitions, traditions, festivals of all the religions. The propaganda that we are against Hindus superstitions only is absolutely FALSE AND BASELESS.
